About me!

A trip to Spain in 2016 started my art journey at the age of 70 - and changed my life!  On holiday with my brother at his home on the Costa Blanca I went along to his Art Group led by the wonderful portrait artist and teacher, Julia Evans.

I hadn’t picked up a paintbrush since school days, but after 2 morning sessions came away with a creditable oil portrait - and I was hooked!!

Back in the UK I joined Cathy Bird’s Art Group, at Jessops Farm Studio in Bough Beech in Kent, and I paint pretty much every day in my woodland garden Studio on Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, where I live with my partner Clive and our two cats, Sweet Pea and Daphne. A keen horsewoman, I sadly lost my lovely mare, Annie, to old age in 2017 after 23 years together.

As a countryside and animal lover it is not surprising that I love painting pet portraits, which I find immensely satisfying.  Aside from pet portraiture I have a number of other paintings for sale as you can see from my Gallery photos.
